Summer is over already?? Say wha?? That went by way too quickly. Probably because we moved!
This is how Leah spent most of the day packing the moving truck. She cracks me up 🙂
We had outgrown our first house and it was time to move on to something a little bigger that could grow with us. We lived in our first house for 5 years and made a lot of memories there! We knew is wasn’t going to be our forever house though and that someday we would move on, but the thought of someone else living in it now seems strange. We still sometimes catch ourselves referring to it as our house though and once in a while Leah will find something in our new house and say, ‘How did this get here?’, implying that it should be at our old house…
This is what moving day looked like…
We are adjusting well to our new house though! We have a lot more space for living, we inherited beautiful gardens and we have LOTS of space to grow fruit (1 1/4 acres to be exact). We’ve done lots of canning already including canned peaches, peach jam, salsa, zucchini relish and diced tomatoes. We’ve still got pickled beets, applesauce, pear sauce and freezer corn to do.
My sister is also getting married at the end of the month! So I’ve got lots of sewing projects on my table including a bridesmaid dress, 2 flower girl dresses and maybe a cute little suit set for Jonah.
I’m also pretty excited to announce that I plan on releasing a crochet pattern this Fall! (If I announce it on here then it will get done… that’s how it works right??) For now I’ll leave you with this little sneak peek…
Hopefully your September is a little more subdued than mine. Thankfully no one is in school yet; I can’t imagine dealing with back to school stuff on top of all of this. This is just the right amount of busy for me.
