About Me

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by.

I thought I’d change things up a little bit and answer a few fun questions about myself. If there’s anything else you’d like to know about me, well then just ask of course 😉

What is your blog about?

I’m glad you asked! In a nutshell, this blog is about our adventures of living simply and sustainably. It is a passion of mine and I try to live it out in everything I do; including crafting, baking, homemaking, gardening… so you’ll find a good mixture of stuff on here.

What does ever green living mean?

No, it is not a reference to evergreen trees. It describes how I want to live my life! I want everything I do to be a reflection of living a ‘green’ life; green being defined as sustainable, simple and low impact. I guess it’s kind of my inspirational saying… cheesy, I know.

How big is your family?

My husband and I have been married for 5 years and in that time have welcomed a baby girl (2 1/2) and baby boy (6 months) into our little family. I am able to stay home with them and while that has it’s challenges, I wouldn’t change it for anything. I am the oldest of 4 as is my husband. Our family just keeps on growing with in-laws and babies and we love it! Family is very important to us so we keep that a priority in our life.

What are your favourite pizza toppings?

I am a veggie lover so you’ll see my pizza loaded up with peppers, onions, broccoli, spinach and mushrooms. My daughter is an olive lover (weird, I know…) so we’ll throw a few kalamata olives on as well. I also can’t pass up a good pesto pizza… Mmm.

What colour is your bathroom?

We recently renovated our main bath to be a pretty sky/turquoise blue colour with white everything else. I love it.

What is your go to snack recipe?

I tend to make at least one batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies once a week at the request of my daughter.

What kinds of shoes fill up your closet?

I am not a shoe person. I have my summer sandals (Birks), my winter boots (Sorel’s) and a pair of knock-off keds for in between. I do have a couple nicer flats for special occasions. I do NOT own any heels. Nor do I think I ever will. I am fairly tall at 5’11” and my husband is an inch or two shorter. Add heels in there and you’ve got one awkward looking couple. Also, they hurt my feet.

What is your beverage of choice?

Water! I love me a tall glass of cold water. I also enjoy a good cup of tea. You won’t find a drop of coffee in this house. I don’t think I’d even be able to brew a pot of it…
